SEDIPHANT – The Eliminator – Unique Reject 3-Phase Separation

SEDIPHANT – The Eliminator – Unique Reject 3- Phase Separation

Technology

Paper Industry Pulping Fine Rejects Streams from HC Cleaners or combined “De-Trashing Screens” are a challenge as Small Heavy Rejects as sand , glass, staples etc. appear in dumps with water and in case with high fiber contents.

The SEDIPHANT ist the only equipment which allows 3- phase separation in a “Heavy Fraction” (sand, glass etc.) a “Pre-densified Fiber Fraction” and “Filtered Water”.

The Dumps of Small Heavy Rejects are flushed into a Sedi-Cyclone on the top of the SEDIPHANT to transform the vertical dumps into a uniform horizontal flow pattern into the SEDIPHANT trough. Small Heavy Rejects, such as sand, glass, staples etc. sink to the spiral conveyor on the trough bottom which transports them to the upper discharge.

Fibers float with the water/suspension stream towards the rotating disc pairs which provide filtration while thickening up a fiber mat which is discharged on the opposite side.

Filtered water/suspension is collected on the disc filtrate inner side to be forwarded to further treatment, pre thickened fiber to be recovered and brought back to pulping process.

Tank / trough water level and disc speed allow control of the dewatering characteristics.

Features

  • High performance 3 phase separation of (dis-) continuous Reject dumps for HC Cleaner and / or “De-Trashing Screens” into “Heavy Fraction” (sand, glass etc.) a “Pre-densified Fiber Fraction” and “Filtered Water”.
  • High Capacity on small installation space, direct discharge of cleaner residual fraction (sand, glass etc.)
  • Pre- thickened fiber to be recovered and brought back to pulping process increases yield.
  • Pre- treated water avoids spilling and fiber build up in U- Drain Channels and secures safe and clean working environment.

Why to buy

  • SEDIPHANT – The Eliminator – provides unique Reject 3- Phase Separation
  • Better Separation of “Small Heavy Reject Fraction” (sand, glass etc.) is a disposal advantage
  • Additional Fiber Recovery form Reject Streams e.g. in overloaded HC Cleaning Stages
  • Pretreated and controlled water streams avoid overflows and secures safe and clean working environment

Typical & Proven Process

  • Treatment of HC Cleaner small heavy weight Reject
  • Treatment of small heavy weight Reject  from combined “De-Trashing Screens”
  • Treatment of heavy loaded and contaminated process streams
